The BookThe Tale of Two Cockies started quite simply by me emailing about ten friends and family. My daughter Juliet, living in New Zealand, was the first one to react. She phoned us from across the Tasman Sea and told me that she loved it so much, I should publish it as a book for kids. Well, I laughed a bit saying that I was not so sure about that! I am no author and there was not enough material. Juliet was not the only one. Soon I was getting emails from around the world from people who suggested the same thing. I had school teachers, Sunday school teachers, librarians, parents and grandparents suggesting that I should try to get it published. Eventually I was also contacted by two publishers and one of them, Col Stringer, eventually turned it into a small, inexpensive book with 44 pages of photos and story. Col is a minister and saw the universal message of love and loyalty that matches so well with what he was teaching so he made it available at the princely sum of $10.95 plus postage and handling.
